All-In-One Facility

In Thousand Oaks, Calif., a new venture is looking to provide athletes with a vast array of services under one roof. The Sports Academy will be opening soon with the hope of helping athletes achieve their goals in many areas.

According to an article from the Ventura County Star, the facility includes five basketball courts, five volleyball courts, two sand volleyball courts, a turf field, batting cages, and pitching mounds, along with cycling and weight training centers, and a yoga studio. Working up an appetite won’t be a problem with a cafeteria and smoothie bar at the facility, along with a nutrition center.

“We’re trying to think of everything,” Chad Faulkner, Sports Academy’s CEO told the Ventura County Star. “It’s the life we live where people are busy all the time. Hopefully it becomes convenient for an athlete to have all you need in one place.”

Along with including equipment and training options for physical performance, the facility includes a sports psychology clinic and academic services. The facility’s offerings combine a team of successful athletes with backgrounds in every sport, along with big thinkers.

“What I learned is that there are all sorts of components that go into training a successful athlete,” Faulkner told the Ventura County Star. “They are the same things that carry over into life, no matter your age or goals.”
