Sep 20, 20182019 Most Valuable Athletic Trainer Award: A Call For Nominations
Training & Conditioning is now accepting nominations for the seventh annual Most Valuable Athletic Trainer Award, sponsored by School Health, to honor high school athletic trainers.
High school athletic trainers are the unsung heroes of interscholastic sports, and many work countless hours to help young people become the best they can be. That’s why Training & Conditioning, along with School Health, has developed the Most Valuable Athletic Trainer Award.
To be considered for the 2019 award, an athletic trainer must work with high school athletes (in either a school or clinic setting) and have the following qualities:
Have earned the respect of coaches they work with and student-athletes they care for- Go beyond their job description to support student-athletes
- Put in extra effort to make the athletic training program the best it can be
- Serve the local or larger community through community and/or professional service
Note: The nominee must be committed to attending the 2019 NATA Convention in Las Vegas. The winner will receive reimbursement for up to three nights of hotel expenses, as well as convention registration fee, courtesy of School Health. (Maximum reimbursement amount not to exceed $750. Recipient to provide receipts to School Health for reimbursement.)
Nominations: Please provide us with a 400 to 800 word description of how the nominee fits the above criteria. Any supporting materials are welcome. Full contact information, including e-mail addresses and phone numbers, for both the nominee and the person nominating must be provided.
Winner: Will be featured in a spring issue of T&C and honored at the NATA Convention. He or she will also receive a plaque and product-related prizes.
