NATA Hits the Big Easy

At T&C, we’re already looking forward to next year’s NATA convention, which will be held June 19-22, 2011, in New Orleans!

It’s never too early to start planning your trip to one of the world’s most beautiful and historic cities. To help get you started, here is a collection of links to New Orleans tourism and attractions Web sites:

New Orleans Online — Choose from categories such as “History & Heritage,” “Restaurants & Cuisine,” “Music,” “Museums and the Arts,” and “Nightlife” to explore all your options for getting the most out of your free time.

New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau — Maps, cultural info, tours, golf courses, and much more are just a few clicks away at this site. You can also request a printed New Orleans Visitors Guide.

Volunteer Louisiana — Interested in adding a few days of “voluntourism” to the beginning or end of your trip to the convention? The state’s seven regional Volunteer Centers maintain a list of volunteer opportunities in the New Orleans region and throughout South Louisiana. Helping hands are still needed to support the region’s recovery from Hurricane Katrina and the BP oil spill in the gulf.

New Orleans on WikiTravel — Sometimes, the best travel advice comes from other travelers themselves. WikiTravel is an open-source travel site, which means anyone can edit it. The list of recommended attractions and is long and always growing!
