High School Coach at USC

Football coaches at the University of South Carolina noticed that one of their players, Kevin “K.C.” Crosby, knew a lot about weight lifting. When they asked Crosby how he had gotten so advanced, he told them his uncle, Corey Crosby, was the strength and conditioning coach at Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School in Bamberg, S.C.

According to an article from the Times and Democrat, this led to Jeff Dillma, Head Strength Coach at USC to ask Corey Crosby if he wanted to intern with the Gamecocks over the summer. Crosby leaped at the opportunity and is helping with strength and mental toughness for the offensive linemen and linebackers.

Although the experience has meant some early mornings to get to practices, Crosby is enthusiastic about helping out. Not only is he getting to work with a top NCAA Division I program, Crosby is looking forward to bringing his experience back to his high school student-athletes.

“It’s a compliment to me and a great opportunity. I’m living a dream come true,” Crosby told the Times and Democrat.
