Mar 2, 2020FIBO Conference postponed over “Coronavirus” fears
FIBO Global Fitness, considered by many to provide some of the world’s largest health, fitness and training trade shows, has officially postponed their Cologne, Germany, trade show due to developments and fears surrounding Covid-19, or “Coronavirus.”
Announced in a press release on February 28, FIBO cited concern for the spreading virus and the safety of their customers and partners as the reason for postponing the event.
“This is not a decision we have taken lightly; our customers, partners and the FIBO team worked incredibly hard on this event,” Silke Frank, the portfolio director for FIBO Global Fitness Events, said regarding the decision to postpone the trade show. “While it is disappointing to postpone, it is imperative that we prioritise the health and safety of everyone involved. Our goal remains to provide the best customer value for everyone attending FIBO.”
Boasting over 145,000 visitors from 140 nations and over 1,100 exhibitors, the FIBO Cologne trade show is recognized by many as one of the largest health and fitness trade show in the world.
In the release, FIBO also says they will continue to monitor the situation and “communicate closely with customers and partners” regarding the postponement — with the security and safety of the exhibitors and visitors being of the utmost importance.
