Much of their work continues behind the scenes as they aspire to grow their department and advance the profession. Few athletic trainers have done this as tirelessly as April Hoy, MS, ATC, CSCS, Head Athletic Trainer at Azusa Pacific University, which is in the midst of its first full year of NCAA Division II membership after a three-year transition from the NAIA.
