Richardson To Interview for Athletic Director Position

Russ Richardson, who was inducted into the NATA Hall of Fame last year, is one of three finalists for the position of Director of Athletics at Montana Western University. The candidates will each have day-long interviews on campus next week.

Currently Head Athletic Trainer and Associate Professor at Montana Western, Richardson previously was Director of Athletic Training at Whitworth University. He recently served as the President/Director of the Northwest Athletic Trainers’ Association, District 10, and is chair of the NATA’s Executive Committee for Education. 

He has worked on legislative efforts in Washington, Alaska, Idaho, and Montana, and provided care for a number of national and international events including the US Figure Skating Championships, World Cup of Wrestling, US Olympic Wrestling Trials, Skate America, and the Hula Bowl All-Star Football Classic. Montana Western is an NAIA school in Dillon, Mont.
