The official Baltimore tourism website as plenty of ideas to suit your interests. Find information about food and restaurants, music and nightlife, museums, shopping, family-friendly activities, and tours of the city. Here are some suggested highlights:

• Perhaps one of Baltimore’s biggest attractions is the National Aquarium, which was the first in the United States. Venture into the deep and check out everything from coral to clownfish, stingrays to sharks. And while you’re in the area, take a stroll around the city’s Inner Harbor to catch a glimpse of any native species!

• If you see any packed water taxis headed out of Inner Harbor, they might be headed to Fell’s Point, a fun waterfront community only a short boat ride away. Known for its trendy shops and unique restaurants, it’s the perfect locale for a summer afternoon.

• With the Ravens in the NFL and the Orioles in MLB, Baltimore has a great sports scene. Take a tour of the Ravens’s M&T Bank Stadium, with its rows of purple seats, or the infamous Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The O’s will be in season, so don’t miss the chance to catch a game!

• If it’s history you seek, head on over to Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine. Learn about the role it played in the War of 1812, and get all the facts about the Battle of Baltimore that inspired Francis Scott Key to write the “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
