Hall of Fame athletic trainer Rod Walters recently released a new book titled, “Tape, I-C-E and Sound Advice: Life Lessons from a Hall-of-Fame Athletic Trainer.” The book, with a foreword by former University of South Carolina Head Coach Lou Holtz, chronicles Walters’ 17 years on the sidelines at USC.
In the book, Walters shares 10 chapters of life lessons from stories learned during his career, including dealings with student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and family and friends. Walters takes readers from the stands to the sidelines and inside the locker room to give a behind the scenes look at his experiences in the world of athletic training. In addition to stories from his career, he provides advice on athlete rehabilitation, sports medicine, and more.
