The Committee on Accreditation for the Exercise Sciences (CoAES) Welcomes the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) as a New Sponsoring Organization
Dallas, TX – [May 20, 2024] – The Committee on Accreditation for the Exercise Sciences (CoAES) is thrilled to announce the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) as its newest sponsoring organization. This significant collaboration marks a pivotal moment in advancing the standards and quality of exercise science education and professional practice.
The CSCCa, with its commitment to improve, serve, and empower the strength and conditioning coaches will bring a wealth of expertise and unique perspectives to the CoAES. By joining forces, both organizations aim to enhance the accreditation process, ensuring that exercise science programs nationwide meet the highest standards of excellence.

About CoAES: The Committee on Accreditation for the Exercise Sciences (CoAES) was established in April 2004 under the auspices of the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). The primary role of the CoAES is to establish standards and guidelines for academic programs that facilitate the preparation of students seeking employment in the health, fitness, and exercise industry. Programmatic accreditation through CAAHEP is specifically intended for Exercise Science programs with a professional preparation track designed for students seeking employment opportunities in the health fitness, strength and conditioning, and clinical exercise physiology industry.
About CSCCa: The Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) is a professional organization committed to the advancement and professional development of strength and conditioning coaches. Founded in May 2000, the CSCCa aims to meet the unique needs and challenges of collegiate strength and conditioning coaches. The organization provides resources, certification, and continuing education opportunities, supporting coaches in their pursuit of excellence and career growth.
